Assistant · Answer

Answer

Answer pulls a number out of a report you already have. It only reads reports your team has published and made available to the AI, so every answer traces back to a report you can open.

When a question has two valid answers, it shows you both.

Two ways to read the question, two answers “What were sales last month?”

Most tools would pick one and hide the choice. This one shows you both.

“What were sales last month?”

What you get

Zap AI gives you two figures and explains why: there are two sales reports, one by ship date and one by invoice date.

What to notice

The line that names the two definitions.

Assistant · Modify

Modify

Modify changes the report in front of you: add a column, cut it to the top ten, bring in a figure from another system. One change at a time. Anything bigger is a job for Build.

It builds with your company's definitions, not its own.

Add a measure, defined the company's way “Add gross margin %.”

One line, and it used the company's definition of margin, not its own.

“Add gross margin %.”

What you get

The column appears, using the company's agreed definition of margin.

What to notice

The new column.

Assistant · Check

Check

Check explains a number in the report you're looking at. Point at a cell, a column or a row and ask how it was worked out. It explains, it doesn't fix, and it won't pass judgement on the number unless you ask.

It shows the formula your ERP data really uses.

Which definition of margin is this? “How is margin calculated?”

Margin on revenue, and it told you which definition it used.

“How is margin calculated?”

What you get

Zap AI shows you the formula: margin % = (revenue − cost) / revenue.

What to notice

What it divides by: revenue, not cost.

See it on your data.
