Hello Preet! It’s great to have you joining us today… as always, our first question is where do you come from and where do you live? I was born and raised in Greenwich, UK but I now live in South London
What does your job entail? Primarily building strong relationships with existing customers in EMEA and ensuring the customer finds value through the ZAP platform.
What is a typical day like? First and foremost, I always start the day with a large cup of coffee! Then I am in meetings and calls and emailing customers throughout the day. I also work incredibly close with the consulting team during live projects so am in contact with them a lot too. Though having said that, every day is completely different and fast paced – the end of the week feels rewarding!
What’s a common question you get from customers? There are 2 which stick out… either “Can we please schedule training sessions with the consultant?” or “What steps do we need to take to connect to x data source?”
What do you like most about your job? I love building relationships with our customers to the point where they open up about their lives on a personal level. As I have customers based in many different regions across EMEA, I often learn a lot about different cultures which I find very interesting.
What do you like to do when you aren’t working? Cycling, tennis, reading, cooking/baking and of course travelling.
What’s a fun fact about you many people may not know? This often shocks people but in the past I have skydived, bungee-jumped and wing-walked. I love the adrenaline rush…. Cage shark diving is next on my list!
Who are your favorite sports teams? I love tennis and am a huge Roger Federer fan! He is the ultimate GOAT (Greatest of All Time). Talking of Tennis I have attended ATP Tennis over the past few years (pre-COVID) and next on the list is definitely Wimbledon.
And any favorite bands/artists? I enjoy listening to all different types of music genre depending on my mood. Coldplay are one of my favourites though (fingers crossed they have a world tour in future!)
How about favorite films? This is completely cliché but The Notebook.
What’s your signature dish? Anything Italian, as I’m a huge fan of Italian food! I even have a pasta machine, I’m obsessed
How would you describe the difference ZAP Data Hub makes to a business… And in just one sentence! I genuinely believe in the product and how it benefits businesses internally. As someone who works so closely with our customers, I see the positive impact ZAP Data Hub can have on a daily basis.
What are some of the differences between working for ZAP versus other companies you’ve been with? Firstly, I couldn’t ask for a better team to work with in EMEA, they’re awesome and incredibly welcoming. Secondly, I enjoy working with different businesses in various regions and understanding their culture which is something I haven’t experienced in previous roles. Talking of which… I can’t wait to travel within the EMEA region!
