Security
Security and user management in Zap Business Intelligence is managed on two levels:
- Active Directory – Zap integrates with Active Directory to manage access to the application itself. This method gives Windows administrators flexibility and control when setting up Zap Business Intelligence within an existing enterprise environment. What this means in simple terms is that security in Zap Business Intelligence is as rock solidrobust as your Windows domain security. Under a well-managed Windows domain environment, Zap Business Intelligence security will be completely transparent whilst locking access down to as broad or narrow a range of users as you choose.
- Portal Security – Permissions groupings for the application allow you to limit users’ ability to create reports or change the configuration within the application. In short, you control who can access the application, who is able to read reports, who is able to construct reports, and who is able to configure the application.
